Voluminous soft waves, beautiful 50's-60's esque makeup, elegant gowns with unique cuts & styles, soft light, a picturesque setting.. I can't get enough of these photos. Drew Barrymore looks amazing! These are definitely going to stay in my inspiration book for a long time.
Probably one of my favorite gowns- ever. I think the exposed waist was such an unexpected, extremely sexy twist, without compromising the elegance of the design. Oh so beautiful! Will have to grab a copy of this issue pronto to find out who created this.
I can't even begin to express how stressful this quarter has been for me! Neverending homework, endless cups of coffee, all nighters, blood + sweat + tears (no exaggeration)... yup, that's pretty much how it's been. But I'm staking it out and persevering since this has been what I've wanted to do since I discovered the world of fashion as a kid. I'm promising myself to make it a point to update this blog more regularly now though! Just be ready for more fashion/design-related updates instead of just food all the time. The photo I have up there is a sketch I did for class. It was lingerie week and I was so excited to do something very dramatic, avante garde and ultra-feminine. I basically took John Galliano's amazing Spring 07 dresses but replaced the bodices with corsets. I love lingerie-inspired clothing so much, and you'll be seeing a lot of that in my work most definitely. Till next time!
